M. RAKO FABIONAR is a consultant, facilitator, and healer who creates learning environments for people to experience deeper connection, insight, and well-being. He is sought after for his powerful presence and capacity to support individuals and groups during times of transition.

Rako has created transformative leadership programs as well as inclusivity and equity focused initiatives for businesses, universities, retreat centers, NGOs and other learning organizations for the past twenty years. He has trained and advised social entrepreneurs, cultural workers, activists, spiritual teachers, and political leaders within the USA, Central America, UK, and Middle East. Rako has also trained and worked closely with leadership from Google, Dignity
Health, Adobe, Facebook, Skywalker Ranch, Impact Hub, IONS, and Climate Action Network International.

Rako's graduate studies focused on multi-generational community-building, equity and social change. He also brings to his work the insights from his professional training in organizational design, and nearly three decades of spiritual practice, including training and initiation in two indigenous lineage traditions. Rako has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses in sustainable leadership, psychology, and comparative ethnic studies through his affiliations with Presidio Graduate School, Esalen Institute, and the California State University.

He is a founding member for both the Guild of Future Architects and Salmon Nation, and a core advisor for New Stories. All three of these change network are committed to cultivating regenerative, equitable futures for all.

INTEGRATIVE APPROACH AND OFFERINGS

Picture
All offerings incorporate some somatic, emotional, and relational awareness practices. These contribute to an integrative approach that deepens presence, rapport, and collective insight. My work also draws from western developmental research, interpersonal neuroscience as well as traditional indigenous knowledge and other wisdom traditions. It also incorporates insights from living systems and regenerative design work, culture studies, and critical theory.

This integrative approach is seamlessly woven throughout the offering and brought into play through simple yet profound frames, metaphors, and exercises that help transform the way participants experience themselves, their worldviews, and behaviors in relation to others, and their environments.

OFFERINGS INCLUDE:

Finally, I believe that individual and systemic change requires us to engage, to some significant degree, our challenges and wounds, especially those which persist from generation to generation. Without skillful intervention, these shadow parts and collective traumas adversely - sometimes even perversely - shape our behavioral and institutional patterns, extending this impact to our intimate relationships, families, workplaces, communities, and the Earth as a whole.

"You work so you may keep pace with the earth and soul of the earth. For to be ideal is to become a stranger unto the seasons, and to step out of life's procession, that marches in majesty and proud submission towards the infinite...Work is love made visible."
